What's New in Gulfport, FL Right Now

Beach Boulevard keeps evolving, and living a few minutes from it means the newest addition to Gulfport's small business scene is never far from home. Here's what's opened (or is about to) recently — we'll keep this updated as things change.

The Moon Under Water

A beloved British pub that spent years on St. Petersburg's Beach Drive before closing in 2021 has found a new home at 2832 Beach Blvd. S, in the former Drunken Taco space. The team behind the revival includes the original executive chef, bringing back the same British pub fare in a new waterfront-district setting.

Sober Bar

A New Orleans speakeasy-style lounge with a twist: no alcohol. Sober Bar, at 3062 Beach Blvd. S., serves specialty coffee and botanical teas by day and zero-proof cocktails and kava by night, aimed at the sober-curious crowd that's grown around Gulfport's existing kava scene.

Drift & Story

A boutique carrying apparel, gifts, and locally-made goods opened at 3129 Beach Blvd. in the former Paw Paw's pet supply space — another sign of Gulfport's post-hurricane business recovery along the boulevard.

Ice & Cream Creamery

A new creamery opened at 3119 Beach Blvd., adding another dessert stop within easy walking distance of the waterfront district.

Salty Pup Coffeehouse, expanding

An existing Gulfport favorite is growing: Salty Pup Coffeehouse is moving into a larger space, with a vintage marketplace planned to open next door.

Small businesses open, close, and change hands — always worth confirming a spot is open before making plans.
